Rest in Peace, Sam...
We interrupt this blog to pay tribute to Sam, the gentle giant, who had to be put down this morning. He was the sweetest, gentlest, calmest dog I have EVER met - the perfect canine ambassador to those who fear dogs. Sam was about 11 years old and his legs just ran out of strength. I know I often gripe about having so many animals. It doesn't make this part any easier. Especially not with a dog like this...
Godspeed, Sam. You will be missed.

Godspeed, yes. I'm so sorry to hear you lost this good friend.
Would you like me to link this at Weekend Wordsmith, anyway?
I'm so sorry. :(
:( Gatsby had to be put down recently, too.
It wasn't my dog, and I never met it, but I still feel bad.
I felt dead when I had to put Pork Chop down.
Now, I wouldn't normally call a dog an it, but it's an it, until I meet it. :D
Thank you all... I truly appreciate it. And Noah - I thoroughly understand. :)
I'm so sorry for your loss. My mother had to put her canine companion of 18 years down on Saturday. It was the hardest thing she's ever had to do. We call cried...even my 29 year old, 6 foot 3 inch brother cried.
I am sorry for your loss. :(
Sorry for your loss Jeannie. It's never easy saying goodbye to an old friend.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Peace.
