Update on the car thing
So - it seems that the Beetle has been officially totaled. I loved that car. Truly.
I did, however, come to an interesting observation on my way home from work today... 12 years ago when I started at this company, I was driving a white Saturn. About 2 months after, I got my 1996 VW Golf. I have been VW obsessed since then. Now - fewer than two months before I turn my life upside down - I find myself in a white Murano. And the truth is, I actually really like this car. I think I am going to keep it. I think it is an omen. Someday I may find myself in another VW - but right now, it seems that the Murano is calling me. I think I shall answer.

I LOVE MY MURANO !!!!!!
There, I said it!
It has the same engine as the 350Z (the sporty little one!) and (mine) has semi-auto so I can at least pretend I'm changing gear... turn off the VCS and it'll do 0-60 in under 8.... love it love it love it!!!
Oh, and the car I had before that? Yep.. a black Bug !
OMG! We have the same car! THAT is just supah cool! I love it! Well - that just seals the deal for me. I don't get to pretend to switch gears - but I think I can get over it. I have a sunroof - and cupholders! I love the fact that the seat automatically adjusts... I like sitting up high. I am a little scared of filling it with gas! I can't buy 87 octane like I used to - but I will be ok - I don't put too many miles on my cars anyway...
Thanks, Frog!
Hard to believe the little bug could be totaled *sigh* But there's also something fun about getting to pick out a new vehicle. It's like this chance to start over fresh.
I want something small and red. But I don't want the accident that it'd take to get me out of my maroon minivan. LOL
Oh I forgot to mention the great mileage!! 18 mpg :O
I hear ya Lara!
Frog - Ron says he gets like 16.6 mpg - I am certain I will do better. :D
Well my onboard computer thingy says I get 18 to the gallon, and I'm not the unreviest of people :)
He has a TON of traffic lights on his way to the train station every day - that is probably the biggest problem.
